Chris Cornell & Eddie Vedder - Hunger Strike
This song, recorded in 1990, was written by Cornell as a tribute to his great friend Andrew Wood after his death. The Soundgarden frontman and the future Pearl Jam frontman formed a very strong friendship during the studio recording of this song.

Paul McCartney & Michael Jackson - Say Say Say.
This is one of two duets that Paul McCartney and Michael Jackson recorded together, following 'The Girl is Mine'. The song was composed by Paul, while Michael wrote most of the lyrics. The single remained at the top of the Billboard charts for six weeks in late 1983 and early 1984.

Robert Plant & Alison Krauss - Please Read The Letter
Originally recorded by Robert Plant and Jimmy Page, this song was later re-recorded by Led Zeppelin frontman and violinist and singer Alison Krauss. The latter version was awarded the Grammy Award for Recording of the Year in 2009.

Queen & David Bowie - Under Pressure
Apparently, the making of this song was not at all easy: David Bowie was not happy with his part and both he and Mercury had quite heated arguments in the recording studio. After Mercury's death, Bowie performed the song in all his live shows on the 1995 Outside Tour as a tribute to his friend and colleague.

Peter Gabriel & Kate Bush - Don't Give Up
A successful duet, it describes the despair of a man who feels isolated and defeated by the economic system, while support and wise counsel is 'sung' by Kate Bush in the refrain. The song has subsequently been recorded by many other performers: other versions bear the signatures of The Midway State & Lady Gaga, Willie Nelson & Sinéad O'Connor, Alicia Keys and Bono.

Ozzy Osbourne & Lita Ford - Close My Eyes Forever
This power ballad represents the biggest commercial success of songwriter Lita Ford. The song also reached number eight on the US Billboard chart.

Meat Loaf & Cher - Dead Ringer For Love
Taken from Meat Loaf's second studio album, this song was originally written for 'Delta House', a 1979 TV sitcom starring John Vernon and Stephen Furst. Interestingly, 'Dead Ringer For Love' was sung many times live by Meat Loaf, but never by Cher, who only appears in the video clip.

David Bowie & Mick Jagger - Dancing In The Street
Originally sung by the girl group The Vandellas, this song was also very successful in the famous version recorded by David Bowie and Mick Jagger. This version was conceived as part of the 'Live Aid' movement, so the proceeds of the cover went entirely to charity.

Bob Dylan & Johnny Cash - Girl From The North Country
Bob Dylan wrote this song after his 1962 trip to England and was inspired by his ex-girlfriend. There is also a solo version of the song, taken from the album 'Freewheelin' Bob Dylan', while the version with Johnny Cash can be found on the album 'Nashville Skyline'.

Bryan Adams & Tina Turner - It's Only Love
Initially this song was to be recorded exclusively by Bryan Adams, however, producer John Carter asked Bryan if he had a song for Tina Turner, who was busy making the album 'Private Dancer'. Bryan had no tracks to spare, so he expressed his desire to duet with the queen of rock'n'roll: Tina heard 'It's Only Love' and was entranced. The song thus became a successful duet.
