Even in 1996, in fact, it was a Disney song that won the Oscar for best song, the Golden Globe for best original song and the Grammy Award: in this case we are talking about 'Colors of the Wind', which was also highly appreciated for its lyrics with strongly spiritual content.

'How Far I'll Go' was performed in the film by US actress and singer Auli'i Cravalho, while for the soundtrack it was also recorded by Canadian singer Alessia Cara, who released it as a single. The song's success was certified with 14 platinum records.

Is there a more light-hearted song than 'Hakuna Matata'? With music by Elton John and lyrics by Tim Rice, it is impossible not to get a boost of good humour from this single. Curiously, in the list of the 10 best Disney songs, there are two tracks from 'The Lion King', but the song from this film that went on to win the Oscar for best song, namely 'Can You Feel the Love Tonight', is not present.
