In the picture, the "27 Club Graffiti", made in Tel Aviv by John Kiss. Here are the musicians who are part of the Club27, starting from those of the J27.
Janis Joplin (January 19, 1943 – October 4, 1970)
Let's start from the subgroup "J27" with Janis Joplin. The unforgettable interpreter of historical songs such as Piece of my Heart and Cry Baby was found dead in a hotel in Los Angeles: the autopsy established that the death was due to heroin abuse.
Jimi Hendrix (November 27, 1942 – September 18, 1970)
Ranked by Rolling Stone magazine at the top of the list of the 100 greatest guitarists of all time, Jimi Hendrix was found dead in the flat he had rented in London. His girlfriend, present in the house, said that Hendrix had been suffocated by a sudden connate of vomit, caused by a cocktail of alcohol and tranquilizers.

His girlfriend at the time, Anna Wohlin, stated in 2000 that Jones he would be murdered by a builder who was renovating their house, Frank Thorogood: on his deathbed, this man would confess to being guilty.
Jim Morrison (December 8, 1943 – July 3, 1971)
The charismatic and tormented leader of the Doors died in Paris on the night of July 3. In the morning, Pam got out of bed to go to the bathroom, where he discovered the lifeless body of Morrison, still immersed in the water of the tub.
Robert Johnson (May 8, 1911 – August 16, 1938)
To inaugurate the Club 27 was Robert Johnson (left in the photo), protagonist of bluesmusic. The legend, also fueled by Johnsonhimself, tells that the latter would have made a pact with the devil, selling him his soul in exchange for the ability to play the guitar better than anyone else. Johnson died suddenly under mysterious circumstances: the death certificate does not attribute the death to any specific cause, but he was probably poisoned.
Ron "Pigpen" McKernan (September 8, 1945 – March 8, 1973)
A founding member of the Grateful Dead, Pigpen could not keep up with the evolution of the sounds of his band and was relegated to playing the organ. He died of a gastrointestinal hemorrhage in Corta Madera, California.
Kurt Cobain (February 20, 1967 – April 5, 1994)
A tormented soul and at the same time a legendary musician. The frontman of the Nirvana, Kurt Cobain, took his own life with a rifle shot to the head. Next to him was found a moving farewell letter dedicated to his family and fans.
Amy Winehouse (September 14, 1983 – July 23, 2011)
The singer with a unique and unmistakable voice, unfortunately was also famous for the serious problems related to drugs and alcohol and for eating disorders, of which she often spoke in her songs. Amy was found dead in bed at her home in London. The autopsy found no traces of narcotics. His death was due to the so-called stop and go, or excessive alcohol intake after a long period of abstinence.
Rankings
25/04/2024
The well-known US magazine Rolling Stone in 2021 has updated the list of the 500 most beautiful songs of all time.
The ranking was first published on December 11, 2003 and was compiled by a jury chosen by the editorial staff, composed of 172 musicians, music critics and experts in the recording industry. Subsequently, the ranking was changed twice: the first in 2010, the second in 2021, when 254 songs that were previously not present were added.
Obviously, there is nothing more subjective than music: these songs are considered the best according to the criteria defined by Rolling Stonemagazine, but each of us has his own personal ranking of the best songs ever. Here, however, is the Top 20 of Rolling Stone.

In 2008, 'Rolling Stone' compiled a list of the 100 best singers of all time.
This ranking was compiled 15 years ago by 180 people, including several musicians (e.g. Bruce Springsteen, Rod Stewart, Justin Timberlake, George Michael, Keith Richards), journalists and music experts.
On 1 January 2023, however, 'Rolling Stone' published an update of the ranking that revolutionised the list, especially with regard to the Top Ten. As the well-known US magazine was keen to point out, this ranking does not only take into account technical and vocal abilities (it is not a list of the best voices of all time), but also the originality of the vocal timbre, the record catalogue, the writing ability and the musical legacy of the singers in question. Here are the top 20 positions.
