As always, the historic U.S. business magazine Forbes publishes its ranking of the 10 artists (from the worlds of music, entertainment, and film) who earned the most during the previous year.
The relative ranking from 2022 was published in late February 2023 and also includes five figures (or groups) from the music universe.
To compile this ranking, Forbes obtained the financial information from various sources, including music managers and producers. The final figures are gross and do not include taxes, expenses and private transactions. Here are who are the musicians who earned the most in 2022.

5. Bad Bunny ($88 million)
For the first time, Bad Bunny enters the list of the highest earning artists in a single year. The rapper came close to 90 million in revenue thanks to his two tours that sold out everywhere. In addition, Bad Bunny signed two rich endorsement deals with Corona and Adidas.
4. Taylor Swift ($92 million)
Every year Taylor Swift features in this ranking thanks to the substantial income from the physical and digital sales of her records, but also thanks to her entrepreneurial activities. In 2023 the figures are set to rise: the singer-songwriter is in fact engaged in a very long tour whose tickets sold out everywhere in no time.
3. The Rolling Stones ($98 million)
The music of Stones continues to bring in a lot of earnings, but also driving Jagger and co. into the charts is the revenue from the 2022 tour. By now, almost everyone also knows that band is dealing withe the production of a new unreleased album: in all likelihood because of this in 2023 the earnings will be even higher...
2. Sting ($210 million)
Sting also takes second place in the overall ranking of the richest artists in 2022 according to Forbes. The former member from The Police owes most of his income to the sale of his entire music catalog, both solo and with his former group, at Universal Music Group.
1. Genesis ($230 million)
In the ranking (both relative to musicians alone and relative to performing artists in general), somewhat surprisingly we find Genesis at the top. Again, most of the revenue collected in 2022 comes from the sale of the music catalog, which was sold to Concord Music Group. A good result for the band although unfortunately Phil Collins is currently struggling with a worsening health condition.

The well-known US magazine Rolling Stone in 2021 has updated the list of the 500 most beautiful songs of all time.
The ranking was first published on December 11, 2003 and was compiled by a jury chosen by the editorial staff, composed of 172 musicians, music critics and experts in the recording industry. Subsequently, the ranking was changed twice: the first in 2010, the second in 2021, when 254 songs that were previously not present were added.
Obviously, there is nothing more subjective than music: these songs are considered the best according to the criteria defined by Rolling Stonemagazine, but each of us has his own personal ranking of the best songs ever. Here, however, is the Top 20 of Rolling Stone.

In 2008, 'Rolling Stone' compiled a list of the 100 best singers of all time.
This ranking was compiled 15 years ago by 180 people, including several musicians (e.g. Bruce Springsteen, Rod Stewart, Justin Timberlake, George Michael, Keith Richards), journalists and music experts.
On 1 January 2023, however, 'Rolling Stone' published an update of the ranking that revolutionised the list, especially with regard to the Top Ten. As the well-known US magazine was keen to point out, this ranking does not only take into account technical and vocal abilities (it is not a list of the best voices of all time), but also the originality of the vocal timbre, the record catalogue, the writing ability and the musical legacy of the singers in question. Here are the top 20 positions.
