"Enter Sandman" enabled Metallica to win their third Grammy Award for Best Metal Performance. The song describes the fears that plague a child, who then recites a prayer to Sandman, a typical character from Anglo-Saxon folklore.
Bon Jovi – Livin' on a prayer
'Livin' on a prayer' is one of Bon Jovi's most successful songs and according to VH1 it is also the most significant song of the 1980s. The lyrics of the song describe a couple of young people in love who struggle to earn a steady wage and keep their relationship strong.
The Stone Roses – She bangs the drums
This song is one of the most famous by the Manchester-born band. The song was also ranked twelfth in the list of the 50 best Indie songs ever according to the music magazine NME.
Arctic Monkeys – I bet you look good on the dance floor

"Mr. Brightside" is the Killers' debut song, the first of the 2000s to surpass a billion streams on all listening platforms. The video is set in a burlesque show, where a relationship develops between the singer and one of the dancers, the same girl who would later star in the video of another Killers song, 'Miss Atomic Bomb'.

Written by Phil Spector, Jeff Barry and Ellie Greenwich, 'Be My Baby' is one of the most successful songs of the 1960s. According to many music critics, this is one of the songs that has most influenced today's pop music.
Oasis – Don't look back in anger
Impossible not to start singing along when listening to 'Don't look back in anger'. The song was written by Noel Gallagher and is the first Oasis song in which Noel replaces his brother Liam as lead vocalist.
